Our Story

Exterior Field started as a nomadic project, finding many places across Southern California to make art. After 5 years of mobile creation, the opportunity to call Lancaster home became a reality. Garrett Mendez began building the Film Location in July 2019.

His commitment to supporting local artists and skilled workers remains a guiding light in the High Desert.
